Nexus Vaulters are a group of dedicated athletes that have come together from different clubs who aspire to compete overseas in the sport of Equestrian Vaulting. Our sport seamlessly blends the art and skill of dance and gymnastics on horseback. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for equestrian sport, the Nexus Vaulters are a close knit group with the goal of representing Australia over in Europe.
Australian Athletes Sharing One Dream
What is Vaulting?
Our sport of vaulting combines the athleticism and strength of gymnastics with the artistry and elegance of dance where the focus is always on the harmonious partnership with the horse. Nexus’s focus is competing as a squad where a group of six vaulters come together to cohesively create a routine to music that combines moves of individuals, pairs and triples in unison with each other. Squad routines require a high level of teamwork, communication and trust between the squad members and with the horse.
Our Goals
Our team, Nexus, aims to represent Australia on the international stage at the 2026 FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany. We aim to develop our skills and experience through intensive training with high-level coaches in Australia and internationally. We plan to travel overseas in early 2026 to gain competition experience and have the opportunity to use international horses, facilities and coaches before the World Championships in August.
